What’s In My Camera Bag For 2025

Let’s start 2025 off with a “What’s in my bag” type of article. This blog post will be about everything that’s in my camera bag for 2025!

When I started taking photos back in August 2023, my camera kit was just a camera body and 2 kit lenses. Nothing more. But it produced a couple of nice photos that I’m still proud of.

Shortly after that trip to Switzerland I did some more research into photography and bought my first mirrorless camera. It was the Canon EOS R50.

I bought it with a 50mm f/1.8 lens and it did some great things for a couple of months when I upgraded to the Canon EOS R8 accompanied with that same 50mm lens and a new zoomlens: the RF24–105 f/4.

Switching to Fujifilm

Now at this point, I switched from Canon to Fujifilm. It was about 2 months ago when I started experimenting with the X-T30 ii and the X-T50. Ultimately I decided to go with the X-H2.

It’s a real powerhouse, a workhorse that can do anything I possibly desire in a camera — and it has film recipes.

I love those film recipes.

My Current Gear For 2025

Let’s get into it, shall we?

I don’t have a proper camera bag. I’m using my old backpack and at this point it’s doing the job. In the near future I want a dedicated camera bag for when I’m out on trips.

So, the cameras that come with me on a trip are my Fujifilm X-H2, and for film photography the Canon AE-1 usually with some Kodak Gold 200.

As for the lenses, I have a 28mm f/2.8 and a 75–150mm lens for the Canon AE-1.

For the Fujifilm I have a couple:

  • The Fujifilm XF 16mm f/2.8

  • The Fujifilm XC 35mm f/2.0

  • The Viltrox 56mm f/1.7

I’m planning on getting a 28mm lens for street photography as well and an allround zoomlens for travel and nature.

Besides the lenses I use a 64 GB SD Card in my camera and always carry a 2 TB harddrive along my MacBook Pro 14" M3 Pro to edit the photos on the go if needed.
